She's made many friends as she grew older, helping couples with their children and other needs. Lauren has learned not to spoil herself, but to work for a living. She earns money by working at her mothers flower shop, WestSide Florist. When she was first entered Constance Billard, it created her desire to become a writer.
Sample Role-Play:
Lauren opened her eyes, covered with the darkness of her blanket. She pulled it off, her alarm growing louder and louder. 8:00 am. Another late nighter. She sighed and pulled herself out of bed, hearing something fall off. Lauren looked down to see her paperwork for her newest story. She scrambled up the messy notebook, placing it on her desk. Lauren was never a morning person, especially when it came to her alarm. She pushed the snooze button, frustrasted, and got ready for school.
After she had showered and changed, she went downstairs. The smell of eggs and toast filled the kitchen. "Morning hun" her mothers voice spoke. Lauren gave her a small smile. "Morning Mom" she answered, sitting down at the counter in front of the stove. She yawned. "You went to sleep late again, didn't you?" her mother asked, a tinge of annoyance in her voice. Lauren looked at her and nodded. "You really should stop doing that Laurie. It irresponsible, even if it about writing a story" her mother sighed, saying Lauren pet name that she had as a child. "I know, I know. You tell me that every morning but I'm awake aren't I? And can you please stop calling me Laurie?" Lauren said back, gabbing the piece of toast on the plate in front of her. "I'm going to school. See you at the flower shop" she said, taking a bite of the toast and getting up, taking her backpack, leaving the house.
Lauren walked down the stone steps of her brownstone home, onto Kingston Avenue. A water hose was heard from another house, followed by a car driving past her on the street. Children were playing a game of hockey on the street with rollerskates and people were watering the garden on their front yard. Lauren past a small house with a women sitting on the steps. "Morning Mrs. O'Keefe!" she greeted the women happily. "Morning Lauren. Say, I need you to babysit the kids thursday. Are you busy?" the women asked sweetly. "No problem" Lauren answered, smiling, and continuing on to the bus stop. As she started to pass a basketball court, a boy approached her. "Well, if it isn't Princess. Hows it going today? Going shopping again?" the boy asked. "Shut up Steven. No, actually I'm going to WORK today. When are you going to stop calling me princess?" Lauren answered. "Well, you are living in the biggest buildings in the neighborhood" Steven said. Lauren sighed and continued to walk, leaving him. She finally reached the bus stop and sat on the wooden bench in back of the sign, watching the sun rise on the lake. The sun light reflected on the buildings downtown. Another great day she thought.
