Krystina surveyed the steps, looking for a head of perfect brown hair that could only belong to Talia Emmert. And her, of course, but she wasnt thinking about that right now. She really just wanted to clear things up with the girls. It doesnt make your life easier being new and having the prettiest and most popular girls hating you in the first 2 weeks does it? She just wanted to talk to Talia, not apologise because she had attempted that earlier, and apparently you dont say sorry cos it just makes things worse Weird. She sipped her latte and looked down at her chocolate phone. No new texts, and she wondered if it was a mistake to try this. Hopefully she would show and things wouldnt be so bad. She smoothed out her skirt and looked down at her ballet flats, which she adored. Even though she was only 5'4, she still wore flats because it made her look more feminine. Yes, there would be times she'd wear heals but those were for special occasions. Talia still hadnt shown and again ,she wondered if it was a mistake to make ammends. Krystina sighed. It had been over twenty minutes and Talia still hadnt shown. Just as she was about to get up and be on her way, she heard her phone give off its familiar sound when a text is recieved, she jumped, sort of suprised since no one really sent her texts out here. She flipped out her cell and read the text from Talia.
'dont count on it.'
She frowned. Well, it wasnt like she was really expecting Talia to show. She totally blew it at homecoming, and now she was still following them around like a little puppy waiting for some attention. Which was definetly not what she was meaning to do. Krystina just thought talking about it instead of being immature and creating drama was a way better idea than blowing it out of perportion, and treating someone who is totally bran new to the school like some retard outcast.
She decided to sit and just chill there by herself. Maybe think of what she'd wear tomorrow or tonight. She saw some cuties who said hi to her, one even asked for her number. She was in a bad mood though and couldnt really flirt back to him. He wasnt really that cute to begin with. Krystina serveyed the people walking by her, hoping Talia would emerge and they could start over, with Krystina being the acutall cool new girl instead of the lame, boring, annoying, 'leave-me-alone' girl she was apparently becoming. She thought to herself maybe she didnt need people who made her feel crappy, but hten again, waiting here to make sure Talia didnt screw up her whole senior year might be worth it. She decided to send Talia a text back.
'alright. well hopefully we can chat soon.' She clicked send.

She jumped once again, not expecting something back. Her text must be behind since all the messages she was getting were from a day ago.
'monday it is, Krystina.' Talia sent to her.
Weird. She thought. It pissed her off that her phone wasnt working properly and that Talia was actually going to show up. Like she was some superstar and Krystina was suppost to jsut wait around for her. But wasnt she kind of doing that already? "Hmm, my phones only been acting weird since I got to New York." She thought to herself as she continued to look for Talia. In a way, Krystina knew how this was oging to end up. Talia would come, eventually, late probably, but still come. She'd put on her ' I-am-popular-and-you-will-never-be ' face, but still have a smirk as Krystina would try to talk about what really happened. Why she didnt see what the huge friggen deal was that everyone was making into some drama-fest. She wouldnt aplogize, she had attempted that before, so maybe she had to try a new tactic to make sure these girls didnt ruin her new home and her last year in high school.
Krystina hadnt really thought about Alexis, though. The 'real' leader, she sort of dissapeared and Krystina just put Talia in her place as the girl she'd have to impress. But she wondered what it would be like when Alexis came back, or if she came back for that matter. Not like she cared because Talia already hated her, so Alexis would prolly hate her even more. Krystina sort of planned out her conversation. It would start off with a ' did you have fun at homecoming? ' or ' how was your weekend? ' or something lame liek that which both girls didnt give a shit about the answer. Then Krystina would try to explain the whole dress situation and why she called them fake. And maybe even ask why it was wrong for her to apoligize (except for the fact it was 5 minutes later and that was super wrong). But saying sorry? How is that wrong? In her mind, she should be given a second chance, because she was positive these girls never had to do what she was going through. Especially moving from a whole differnent continent. They didnt know what it was like trying to make friends, and Krystina wasnt stupid, she knew who she wanted to be friends with and wouldnt it be a compliment to them?

A thin, tanned arm snaked out of a pair of blooded queen sized bed covers whilst the frantic ringing of Talia's alarm woke her up. She looked at the date and sighed. It was the day she had to see Krystina (or her 'new name' Sydney). Talia walked into her bathroom and used the shower for half an hour. As she stepped out, she wrapped her white fluffy towel around her body and plugged in her newly purchased 'Wet 2 Straight' flat irons. After running the scalding hot plates through her hair, Talia shuffled into her closet to pick out her clothes.
Reminding herself about the weather, Talia picked out her favourite navy skinny jeans, red cashmere tanktop, black leather jacket and slingback open-toe stilletos. Talia slipped on her clothes as she grabbed her Louis Vuitton handbag and made her way out of her house.
It only took a fifteen minute walk to Constance Billiard (plus the five other minutes, Talia used to get her Dr Juice). Walking up the steps of the hallway, Talia friendly smiled at people at their lockers and sipped her fruit smoothie with a grin. The pink mixture tasted like summer, despite the weather. Finally, there she saw her. Krystina. Talia quickly slid a layer of NARs lipgloss across her lips and made her way towards Krystina. She was lucky Talia was giving her the time of day. Talia was hoping she'd use it usefully. "Im here now, what do you want?" Her words shot out like daggers. Despite her friendly warmth towards other people that day, Krystina was given the exception.

Krystina swiveled around to find Talia standing there with a fruit smoothie wearing an outfit she would have worn in grade 10. But she wouldnt say that to her of course. "I'm here now, what do you want?" She heard her say. If she was back at home she would have said something totally different because no one would give her that tone. But she had to remind herself this was america, the country whom everyone hated everyone. Nice. "Nothing, really." She smirked with her accent. "Just thought it would be better if we didnt make such a big deal out of nothing, you know?" She looked down at her flats again, thanking herself she didnt wear shoes like Talia. Not like steletos were out, but flats were always in. "And I just dont want my senior year to be ruined because you guys think I'm desperate to hang out with you, because frankly, I dont need a clique to make me feel cool." Still smiling, or smirking? Krystina looked up at Talia and serveyed her. Did Talia ever have to prove herself? Easy answer, No. She was hoping she didnt sound too snobby, but it was hard to stick up for yourself with these girls and Krystina didnt want to look like some push over. She still wanted to make things good with them, so that they could walk into the same rooms during school and not have them destroy her. Which was probably their plan.

Alessandra couldnt help but overhear some conversation between Talia Emmert and this new, strange australian girl. She noticed that the girl had been sitting for quite sometime, alone, glancing at her chocolate phone every 5 minutes. 'Lame.' Alessandra thought. She never depended on her iPhone that much. She hated how much of the world was sucked in by technology. And this 'new girl' who ever she was, seemed like she had no freinds and it looked as though she had crossed the path of one of the populars. Big mistake, and Alessandra knew that. She had only been away one year, but she remembered Alexis and the others. Alessandra liked them, contrary to what everyone else said about them. How they were the biggest bitches in the school, they only copied eachothers styles and used their daddies credit cards everyday. Alessandra knew people put stereo-types on them, and she thought it was really stupid. Not that she knew them that well, but they had never hated eachother and she remembered never getting the 'death' look from any of them. But this girl seemed desperate, and from what she said to Talia, it sounded as though she was worried her year would be screwed up because of some mistake she made. Alessandra gave a snort. This girl was going to get her ass kicked, not literally, but Talia would probably eat her alive with words. Alessandra would never try to apologize or talk things over with those girls because a) she would never do anything to piss them off in the first place and b) they wouldnt give a shit what you said, they'd still hate you. 'Poor girl.' She thought, not that she really cared about her. First off, she had hideous flats on, the kind people never really wear anymore, maybe back in her home town in the outback of Australia. Second, her tan was super gross and deep, it looked like she sprayed it on. Alessandra suddenly had an idea. She pulled out her iPhone from her Prada bag and began to text.

Krystina's phone suddenly went off again. She wondered who could be sending her a text while she was talking to the only girl who knew her number. Not that Talia wanted to know it.
' Better shut your mouth before its too late . <3 Ali' it said.
What the hell? Krystina thought. Who would even say that to her? She glanced around, ignoring Talia for a moment and spotted a blonde girl smirking in her direction. She hadnt met this girl and she was almost sure she was the one who sent the message. Since no one else looked as though they were listening to Talia and her conversation, this girl did, so Krystina decided to tell her to lay off. "Umm, who are you? And how did you even get my number? She said before Talia had replyed. She really didnt need someone else listening to this, especially some blonde chick she'd never seen before.

Alessandra continued to smirk. Talia hadnt said anything, but she probably was tired of Krystina already, as was Ali. "Well, I saw your number when you were checking your phone every 10 seconds." She told her. This girl had an Australian accent, and since her parents were from London, it was easy to understand. But Talia probably hated it, it was sort of annoying. It was really just a lazy accent compared to a real English accent decent people spoke with. But she wouldnt say that to her of course, she'd probably get enough digs from Talia in a few minutes. "Oh, the name is Alessandra by the way." She told her. She wondered if Talia remembered her, but she didnt care if Talia didnt. She'd probably just talk to her later about why this girl was so bloody annoying.

Lucky Krystina. She hit slightly where her soft spot was. As strange as it sounded, you needed to be a very good bitch to get on Talia's good side. Fake and softies were on her hate list. Just as Talia was about to say something, her voice was drained away from the sound of Krystina's phone. Wow, nice phone She thought. Talia surveryed Krystina whilst a frown grew on her face and made her way towards Alessandra. Who the hell is she? Somehow, she knew that Krystina would be thinking the same thing. Watching Alessandra insult Krystina, Talia's anger brew up insde and automatically grabbed hold of Krystina's wrist whilst walking into a corner where nobody could see them. "Eh ma gawd, who the hell is she?" She asked Krystina. As much as Talia enjoyed watching Krystina crumble, she was her new kid and not Alessandra's. Both Krystina and Alessandra were the same people in her eyes, conversation interupting, foreign accents and attempting to break into their clique were never going to change that.

Krystina kept looking at the girl with a screwed up face. Who the hell was she to just come in here and butt in to the conversation. Not like Krystina was enjoying it because she was sort of worried what Talia was going to say, but still. Suddenly Talia grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her away from this Alessandra girl asking her who the hell was she?? "I'd like to know, too." She told Talia. It was bad enough she sat and waited for Talia for almost an hour and now this girl was going to screw it up! "Maybe you should bitch her out" Krystina smiled a little, hoping Talia wouldnt take it the wrong way by saying Talia was a bitch, but Krystina figured she could give it to someone really good. And this girl was on her nerves, so why not ask her to? Krystina hated the fact that now another girl could hate her. What did she do to have all these people saying stuff about her? But this girl was annoying, and it looked as though she annoyed Talia, too. Yet, Alessandra looked comfortable barging in and thinking it was okay. Krystina hoped Talia would say something to her.

Talia snapped her newly french manicured fingers infront of Krystina's face in an attempt to get her to look at her. It was strange for Talia that she hadn't insulted Krystina yet, she thought that she would have done it atleast one minute into the conversation. The fault, Alessandra. Listening to Krystina reply, a smile curved onto Talia's face. She may have called her a bitch, but she knew it wasn't intentional (or was it?). "Aww thanks, Sydney," Talia pressed her hands against her heart sarcastically then glanced over to Alessandra in the corner. "I can't be bothered to deal with another idiot today," She didn't feel embarresed for calling Krystina an idiot upfront, or calling her Sydney. "Tell you what, after my first class. I have free period, usually me and Julianna go into the homeroom and do a bit of studying... as crazy as it sounds. Meet us there, tell nobody." The first thing was that she had two new kids on her back. Last thing she needed was to be gossiped as a New Kid Befriender.

Krystina was suprised. Talia hadnt said anything mean to her .. yet. But it was still uplifting. Although Talia had called her something else, not Krystina, did she say Sydney? Well, she was born there, maybe it was just easier for Talia to call Krystina by something she was recognized for .. being and annoying australian perhaps? Weird. Thought Krystina, she wasnt going to be all ' why the hell did you call me Sydney and bla bla ' not now when Talia was acutally asking her to join her and Julianna later on in the day. Apparently this girl bugged Talia more than Krystina had. Which she thought was almost impossible, but was sort of glad this Ali girl showed up to make things better for Krystina, but worse for herself. "Umm, sure, I guess." Krystina told Talia. She didnt want to sound too desperate, but she was glad Talia wasnt going to rip her apart. But she still did call her an idiot, which was nothing as bad as what she was expecting. She smiled at Talia. "So, I'll just come meet you in homeroom later on. Bye then." She said quickly, giving Talia a hopeful glance, praying she wouldnt change her mind and tell Krystina to not bother meeting later on. But she quietly stepped away from Talia, and walked briskly before she could say anything to ruin her mood.

Alessandra noticed that Talia immidiatly stopped giving Krystina the death glare once Ali had insulted her. Was she acutually siding with Krystina now? It looked as tho 5 minutes ago she wanted to send her back to her hometown in the Outback. Suddenly, Talia grabbed Krystina's wrist and pulled her to some quiet place where Ali could just make out Krystina's ugly shoe. She guessed they were probably talking about her, and who the hell was she to interupt their little conversation. Ali got a little worried while they were away because she had just finished thinking to herself she'd never try to get on the populars bad side, but it sort of looked like Talia was annoyed of her now. Hopefully she'd get over the fact that Ali wasnt really new, and they had been schoolmates before, but Krystina was super annoying and had a fake-ish tan. But obviously it was real, she was Australian. Krystina stepped out of the hiding spot with a very suprised look on her face, and walked a little faster than regualar, probably to her first period class. Alessandra wondered what they had said, not that she really cared that much, but it was a different conversation then what she had been expecting. Apparently Talia was going to wait a little longer for Krystina to be spared.

As Krystina walked off, Talia made her way to her locker and frowned. Why had she not ripped her apart? Talia took a sip of her Dr Juice (before dropping it in the trash can) and opened her locker with a sigh. In the corner of her eye, Talia kept watch of Alessandra and suddenly had a thought. Was she the Alessandra who texted Julianna? And if she was, how did she get her cell phone number? How did she get Krystina's?... Well, she sort of knew the answer to that since, she over heard her speak. But this was too confusing for Talia, it was usually Alexis who did this work.
